Get to Know Doodles:
Types of Doodles

There are currently over 40 types of Poodle mixes, or Doodles, as they're lovingly called. Doodles are a mix of Poodles with other purebreds. Every Doodle dog is a little different, based on the dog breed that the Poodle is mixed with.

These family friendly designer breeds have increased in popularity since the 1980s. "Doodles are great pups," says Colleen Demling, dog behaviorist at Dogtopia. "They shed less and have less dander than the breed that the poodle is crossed with." Their personalities also make them ideal companions. "Doodles are also versatile family pets and can often do everything from city life to country life, hiking to relaxing at home," says Demling.

We began our breeding journey with Goldendoodles.  They are a cross between Golden Retrievers and Poodles. They have become one of the most sought-after Doodle designer breeds.  These family-friendly dogs are playful, easily trained, and their low-shedding fur makes them a great choice for dog allergy sufferers (depending on generation). They also make good therapy/service pets.

We have expanded our breeding to include Bernedoodles. The Bernedoodle is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle.  They are gentle, giant dogs with the sweet and affectionate nature of Bernese Mountain Dogs and the high intelligence, agility and low shed ability of Poodles.  They make a great choice for families.  We adore our Berners!!

While no dog breed is truly hypoallergenic, Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles can be considered “hypoallergenic dogs” due to their lower levels of hair and dander (depending on generation).

**We cannot guarantee whether or not a puppy is truly hypoallergenic nor whether or not a puppy will be low/no shed.  We do, however, plan our breeding with those in mind with the intention of producing puppies that are low-to-no shed and hypoallergenic.  ??
